VAO PUSH / GUIDES
Support
Vao Push is a free, open-source, self-hosted system for messages and Home Screen data cards.
Start with these checks
- Check that the device can reach the server API address and that your browser can open the Web console. If they use separate ports, check each address and port.
- Check the server address entered in the App. For HTTPS, the certificate must be valid and match the hostname. An HTTP connection does not require an HTTPS certificate.
- The official release client needs matching production push configuration on the server. Regular users do not enter Apple push private keys in the App or Web console.
- Check that the device is enabled in the Web console, is included in the saved automatic recipient list, and has notification permission in iOS / iPadOS Settings.
- For card issues, check that the data source is valid, the design is published, the device subscription is active, and the saved card is selected in the system widget. The system controls refresh timing; a refresh every minute is not guaranteed.
